General Position Summary
The position holder will support the planning and execution of monitoring and evaluation, ensuring quality in accordance with accepted standards, providing essential feedback for learning, accountability and decision-making for Mercy Corps Nigeria. S/he will be responsible for the following:
- The MEL Assistant will work with the MEL Officer as part of a team to operationalize the MEL system at the field location
- The MEL Assistant is responsible for supporting Mercy Corps staff and partners to regularly collect, enter, verify, analyze data, and make timely database adjustments to measure the impact of the program.
- The MEL Assistant will work directly with the MEL Officer and will closely coordinate with other program staff to help ensure monitoring and evaluation data is accurately incorporated into all reports and information products.
2.) WASH Senior Officer
Location: Borno
General Position Summary
- Mercy Corps is looking for a strong WASH Senior Officer who will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementation, and monitoring of the WASH component in Borno.
- S/he will work closely with all Project and Support staff and ensure a high level of integration and communication across all sectors.
- The WASH Senior Officer must ensure the smooth implementation of program objectives according to the approved work plan, adherence to budgets, and within a level of quality that can be measured through M&E interventions.
3.) Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer
Location: Borno
General Position Summary
- The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will work with the Mercy Corps program team as well as partner organisations to oversee and ensure the collection of quality MEL data for the program.
- The MEL Officer will be responsible for supporting the Senior MEL Officer to oversee the monitoring and data collection of programs, lead baseline, midterm, and end-line surveys, analyse data to provide insight to the project team and contribute to report writing.
- S/he will ensure that performance monitoring and results reporting tools and processes across the entire program are in place, effectively implemented and well synchronised between the two program sites.
- The MEL officer will be an integral member of the program team’s learning and reflection processes, leading discussions on participant feedback.
